
Ingredients:-
- Kovakkai - 10-15 nos
- Onion - 1 medium chopped
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Crushed dry chilli – 1 table spoon
- Curry leaves
- Oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions:-
- Wash and cut both ends of kovakkai and cut it into julienne{cut lengthwise}
- In a mixing bowl mix thoroughly juliennes of kovakkai with turmeric powder and salt till it become soft. keep it aside for ½ an hour.
- After ½ an hour we can see water oozing out of kovakkai. remove that water.
- Now heat oil in thick bottomed frying pan. When oil became hot add juliennes of kovakkai into it. saute it .
- When the edges of kovakkai became golden brown add chopped onion in to it. saute it again.
- When water content in kovakkai completely disappears add crushed dry chilli and curry leaves into it and sauté till it became greenish –brown in colour.
7.Switch off the flame and transfer it to a serving plate. Enjoy!!
